Prison Substance Misuse Nurse – Warrington

Hays Healthcare are seeking to appoint an experienced substance misuse nurse in the Warrington prison service for opiate misuse service users on the route to recovery.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading health and care charity who works with individuals, families and communities across England and Wales that are affected by drugs, alcohol, crime, homelessness, domestic abuse and antisocial behaviour.

The appropriate nurse must be NOMS cleared, prison vetted. You will be working with opiate service users who are settled within the recovery process.

As an example you will work within the following areas:
· BBV screening and advice
· Medication dispensing (Methadone)
· Facilitate doctors’ screening

This role is initially until the end of December, with some flexibility on shift patterns. The general hours are: Monday to Friday 07.30 - 15.30 or Monday to Thursday 10.00 - 18.00 and weekends 07.30 - 12.30. You may be required to cover bank holidays as well as weekends and occasional evenings.
