Within the Law Firm Group, there are bankers located in thirteen offices in the United States and Europe. Those offices include New York City, Boston, Washington DC, Miami, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Orange County, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston and London.
Private Bankers at Citigroup develop and deepen client relationships in order to thoroughly understand the client situation and utilize that knowledge to develop tailored wealth management strategies. Private Bankers are able to add value to clients and firms by building and drawing upon a network of internal resources, often global, to achieve desired results. Successful Bankers are able to develop and adapt a disciplined sales process to convert a pipeline of prospects into target market clients. In addition, they are able to deliver quality Private Bank client relationships (solutions and services) in an intensely competitive fragmented market, taking fullest advantage of the Citigroup franchise while protecting the Bank and client/firm by complying with relevant policies, procedures, and country legal/regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
Build Client Relationships -Actively manage and deepen the client relationship by listening to the client's expectations and needs
-Serve as the client's trusted advisor and primary contact for strategic advice on financial matters
-Provide clients with access to the broad array of services and expertise, especially in banking and lending, under the Citigroup umbrella
Develop Client Solutions -Orchestrate appropriate specialist resources to identify and present insightful ideas and solutions for clients
-Ensure that financial strategies are kept current and appropriately aligned with client objectives
Execute and Drive Results -Generate leads and grow the business through active calling
-Create, organize, and implement a wealth management strategy designed to deepen relationships with existing clients
Teamwork -Help team members to acquire experience and establish credibility by assembling and orchestrating an appropriate client team to serve clients
-Lead by example and serve as a role model
Navigate the Citigroup Organization -Offer full array of appropriate products to meet clients' needs
-Serve as an advocate for the client
-Take the initiative to resolve an issue
Promote Integrity and Trust -Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in keeping with the policies of the Private Bank
-Maintain access to and credibility with clients as a trusted financial advisor
-Handle inquiries and resolve problems whenever contacted by client
Technical Learning and Self Development -Communicate and present complex financial concepts to staff, clients, and colleagues
-Develop an extensive knowledge of investment management and credit products
Skills
- Multi-year experience in Private Banking or the affluent market segment with investment background
- Knowledge and experience with lending is strongly preferred
- MBA degree or equivalent experience
- Series 7 66 or 63/65 licenses
