Private Banking Assistant – Geneva recruitment
The main purpose of the role will be to provide assistance for a group of asset mangers in all aspects of the administrative management of client accounts
Main duties will be:
- Co-ordinating Bankers business trips – to include travel, itineraries and expenses
- Opening and closing of new accounts (gathering information, sending out information).
- Cash management – foreign exchange, investing in cash alternatives, cash transfers.
- Checking positions, balances
- Reviewing previous days activity
- Trade settlement
- Cash / stock transfers
- Checking commission runs
- Liaising with operations
- Ensuring all corporate actions are dealt with on a timely basis
- Executing security trades and foreign exchange transactions.
- General client service – account, research, market information
- Preparation and co-ordination of client marketing material
- Copying / faxing / filing / mailing – client statements and research
The role requires candidates to have Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in commerce/banking, or equivalent qualification.
One to three years' experience working as an assistant in the field of asset
management/ private banking; experience in a Middle East team would be a plus.
Capacity and willingness to work for several asset managers.
Proficient user of common computer programmes, MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Bloomberg/Telekurs would be a plus.
The role also requires fluent English and French and candidates must have at a C permit and must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
This role will lead to the successful candidate becoming a Junior Private Banker
