PRIVATE BANKING AUDITOR – AVP recruitment
Our client enjoys a stable and steady growth in the Asia Pacific region, with plans to expand its private banking business. In line with this expansion, an outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced internal audit professional to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Perform, support or lead where directed, the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of internal audit engagements to deliver agreed assurance objectives to established standards and timelines
- Establish and develop effective working relationships with Management of business units for which incumbent has risk assessment responsibility
- Act as liaison with Management to ensure full understanding of business strategy, plans, products, performance and risk-related issues at business unit level and communicating these to the relevant Functional Team members via bottom-up continuing risk assessments and dialogue
- Advise the regional audit team of all significant risk, control, and regulatory issues that arise during the audit
- Support the development of junior staff through job training and coaching
- Develop and demonstrate comprehensive understanding and technical expertise of the business/products
- At least 5 years of audit or accounting experience in a public accounting firm or financial institution
- Strong product knowledge in the private banking business
- A good honors degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Good project management skills
