Credit Product/ Project Manager - J.P. Morgan Private Banking Product Platform group
J.P. Morgan Private Banking Product Platform group ("PP") is focused on delivering high impact product initiatives as well as leading critical franchise building and enhancing projects. PP works in conjunction with business management to develop new and existing investment, credit and banking products, capabilities and business activities for the benefit of all internal and external clients. The group is also responsible for driving reengineering projects that enhances efficiencies and productivity as well as client experience. In addition, the group coordinates projects that support the Bank's compliance to regulatory requirements. To do so, it partners closely with many functions including Asset Class Leaders, Sales-force, Business Risk Management, Credit and Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management as well, as Technology teams.
Responsibilities
- Drive new credit product development and build new capabilities by partnering with PB Asset Class Leaders/ Solutions desks
- Develop and manage project plans and provide updates for senior management on project status, issues and benefits to the business
- Liaise with Technology BAs to define high-level Business requirements and ensure that proposed delivery method covers all requirements
- Be hands on and drive initiatives to deliver on-schedule, on-scope, to quality and on-budget
- Participate in strategic decisions related to product development and platform enhancements needed to drive growth
- Continually assess current credit offering across PB, recommend and lead change to existing offering through crafting senior management proposals
- Support ad-hoc product enquiries mainly from Solution desks and Investor teams on specific needs and or current capabilities
- Provide continuous improvement through identifying best practices in products / processes / systems
- Participate in the global forums to represent PP on global product process projects
- Provide PB-wide communications on project status, issues and benefits to the business
- Work across all internal stakeholders (Ops, Credit, Risk and Legal) and other relevant J.P. Morgan lines of business (i.e., Investment Bank) to deliver new product solutions.
- Credit experience within Private Wealth Management or Investment Banking from product development, product control or process re-engineering or strategy perspective
- Expertise in Project Management discipline, techniques and project delivery process with ability to manage, organize, and control activities of complex projects
- Developing project requirements, assigning priorities, establishing deadlines, and tracking problems while ensuring capacity within the operations team is properly assessed
- Understanding of Front and Middle Office processes / trade flow, term-sheet review and hands-on experience supporting cash, derivatives, structured products, options products
- Relentless focus on execution and enjoy taking ownership for the delivery of measurable results
- Ability to adapt in a fast paced, dynamic and changing team environment is essential
- Confident and outgoing personality, able to deal directly with the senior people
- Strong solution based problem solving and analytical skills, able to add value rather than just accept the status quo
- Influence the business to transform/change current state
