Private Banking – Credit Support Group – Documentation Analyst recruitment
The Private Bank Documentation Unit is part of the product and support team in the J.P. Morgan Private Bank. The team works closely with Bankers, Investors Credit to deliver excellent client service to Private Banking clients in Asia.
Main Responsibilities:
1) Regular responsibilities:
- Liaise with Capital Advisors and Credit Executives on documentation requirements
- Determine and prepare required supporting legal and credit documentation for client signature, working mainly with standard document templates. Documents include credit facility agreements, pledge agreements, ISDA, and product agreements.
- Manage the mortgage documentation process, currently for Singapore, Hong Kong and UK properties
- Work with internal and external legal teams as well as valuation agents as required
- Partner with and provide support for colleagues in Hong Kong, Geneva, London and New York on a regular basis
- Scan and maintain accurate data on documents from clients in the Documentation Tracking System
- Understand, ensure adherence to and compliance with, JPMorgan policies and regulatory requirements
- Understand credit control requirements and work closely with the Exposure Control Team to ensure that any legal control requirement is addressed and controls effected
- Highlight legal exposures and risks and documentation exceptions through commentary to senior management
- Communicate with Capital Advisors and other team members on documentation requirements
- Respond to Lenders, Bankers, Client Services and Credit Executive inquiries across the region
2) Project based responsibilities:
- Work with Product and Platform teams on system enhancements improvements
- Work with Legal on new documentation particularly for new products, new platform or to revise document templates
- Assist in special projects such as portfolio reviews, credit and exposure reports
Skills
- University graduate with 1 - 3 year's of relevant experience in dealing with client credit documents. Some legal knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to suggest improvements and engineer process changes
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and Access skills
- Understanding of ISDA and other credit related documents a plus
- Control and Risk mitigation mindset
- Knowledge of derivatives and traditional credit products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self motivated with ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadline
