PRIVATE BANKING EQUITY SALES AND MARKETING – ASIA COVERAGE (HONG KONG BASED POSITION) recruitment

Working closely with Senior Private Bankers (PB's) as well as various other business units, the equity sales marketing specialist will work closely and coordinate with the CIO, DPM, Research, Lead strategist, PB's and Clients to drive equity flow business with compelling investment ideas to PB's in Asia.
The individual will be primarily responsible for Asian coverage but will be coordinating with his/her peers regionally for other markets. He or she will also be a member of the Equity ACT call and will be required to work and coordinate with Regional colleagues to deliver Asian market updates and Regional Asian equity ideas. He/she will be the key sales contact point in Asia for cash equity investing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide sales marketing to PB's across Asia Pacific across various equity securities including ETFs;
• Generate investment ideas to PB's and Clients, and provide regular market updates to the field;
• Work closely with the Fund Management Team to coordinate on delivering beset ETF investment ideas. Manage relationships with ETF Fund Managers to organize marketing events;
• Assist with distribution and marketing of the Banks originated products and other products in capital markets with related equity underlying investments such as listed options and structured products;
• Coordinate and work closely with regional equity sales marketing specialists to: 1) provide Asian equity related news and ideas to the region and 2) to ensure that non-Asian equity related news and ideas are brought back to Asia (namely on European and US equity)
• Create daily market commentary piece, weekly client approved piece and help in the development and distribution of weekly Global equity play-book.

Skills / Qualifications

• 5+ years financial work experience in equities or equity-related products;
• Mature individual with experience in dealing with Private Bank Clients, preferably in North Asia (HK, China, Taiwan)
• Knowledge of Mandarin is a must. Knowledge of Cantonese is preferable.
• Demonstrated ability to generate revenues;
• Strong marketing, presentation, written and verbal communication skills;
• Must be able to produce compelling visual presentations (please bring sample presentations created).
• High standard of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail;
• Ability to work in a professional focused team and to contribute to its growth and continued success;
• PC literate, must be fluent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg;
• Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines with excellent organisational skills;
• Exhibit awareness of the market and of investment products.
