Private Banking operations – AVP / VP – Securities – Head of Business Excellence recruitment

ROLE SUMMARY:

Securities Operations (SecOps) is an area comprising of 3 main functions - Securities Settlements, Asset Servicing, Free of Payment Securities Transfers. Business Excellence will be a new team formed mainly by recruiting existing staff from the 3 functions.

The candidate reports into the Head of Securities Operations and will be a member of the SecOps management team. The candidate will lead the Business Excellence team with a primary mandate to independently oversee all change initiatives, IT and non-IT relating to the Securities Operations area. This team will also be the first point of contact within SecOps for any new business enquiries. Finally, as a separate team from the processing teams, it is also envisaged that Business Excellence can support Se-cOps by undertaking independent process reviews and controls monitoring.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

1. Manage Change Initiatives

- Drives timely resolution of SecOps related technical issues
- Follow through on IT deployment from requirements gathering to post implementation
- Ensures functional stakeholders' requirements are adequately represented
- Pursue non-IT process engineering opportunities

2. Process Review and Controls
- Perform independent process reviews and controls monitoring
- Identifies process gaps or system constraints and propose proper measures/controls

3. Represent SecOps in New Businesses
- One stop shop for new business enquiries relating to SecOps
- Coordinate with impacted SecOps teams on effort estimation / system requirements

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:

? Minimum 3 years project management experience or a stakeholder of a major project
? Appreciation of controls topics
? Good understanding of a broad range of Private Banking products
? Strong management skills - proven track record in leading teams and comfort around senior stakeholders ( D / MD levels)
? Strong business analytical skills
? Self motivation - able to work independently, multi-task, plan and prioritize tasks
? Candidates with experience in Settlements or Asset Servicing preferred
