Private Equity – Analyst, Associate, Senior Associate recruitment
The experience of the HarbourVest team dates back to the late 1970s when our founders began making venture capital investments. Today, HarbourVest and its subsidiaries serve 300 investors and have more than 200 employees deployed in Boston, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. We are a global leader with an established local presence, investing half of our capital in non-U.S. markets and managing assets for institutions based in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. HarbourVest invests in primary partnerships, secondary interests, and operating companies. We have a longstanding history of investing in Asia, and established our local presence in Hong Kong in 1996.
Currently, we are seeking to recruit the highest caliber professionals for the following positions in our Hong Kong office:
- Primary Partnership Team – Analyst/Associate
- Secondaries Team – Associate/Senior Associate
Responsibilities:
- The principal functions include investment analysis, due diligence, investment recommendation, and investment monitoring
- This includes, but is not limited to: partnership and company modeling; qualitative and quantitative analysis of managers, capital structures, and relevant industries; and the coordination of the closing process.
- Associates and Senior Associates are expected to lead smaller transactions (from sourcing and analysis through closing) as the junior investment professional, while supporting senior investment professionals in larger transactions.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of private equity markets and financial expertise
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluency in Asian languages will be an added benefit
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Dependable, proactive, independent, detail-oriented, demonstrates sound investment judgment, and is capable of making effective decisions in an efficient manner
- Those in consulting, banking, or accounting sectors are encouraged to apply
- 2-5 years of relevant working experience for Analyst/Associate roles
- Most importantly, having the right attitude. We are looking for dynamic, young, and hard working individuals who are hungry to succeed
