Private Equity Fund Accountant recruitment

Key Responsibilities
- Produce management, interim and audited accounts
- Control and monitor the bookkeeping process and take ownership of the ledgers
- Prepare carried interest and other calculations in accordance with the fund documentation
- Calculate and monitor capital adequacy of licensed entities in accordance with regulations
- Assist with all aspects of accounting for clients including ad hoc queries
- Assist with planning of annual audits and liaise with clients to establish timetables for the receipt of valuations and advisers reports and other relevant information
- Ensure processes and controls are followed and best practice followed
- Communicate any issues of concern to the Client Director
- Understand and interpret the Fund’s documentation, FSA GFSC regulations
- Interpret and understand IFRS, UK GAAP or relevant GAAP to the fund / company
- Liaise with auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process
- Assist with the training, coaching and development of staff
- Promote excellent ongoing relationships with clients of the Company
- Build effective relationships between individual team members
- Motivate and empower trainee accountants by building their capabilities
- Manage workloads to ensure that the Company’s required minimum chargeability is maintained
Skills Requirements
- Between 1 to 3 years hands-on experience and knowledge of accounting, private equity administration or investment banking
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues on a day to day basis
- Solid understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Ability to consistently work accurately under pressure
- Solid IT skills, particularly within MS Excel
- Ability to work as a team member
- Strong attention to detail, reliable and hard working
