Private equity internship – Energy & Infrastructure recruitment

The Marguerite Fund (www.margueritefund.eu) is a private equity fund investing in EU27 countries. It is the first fund of its kind launched by leading European financial institutions including KfW, ICO, PKO, CDC, CdP and the European Investment Bank. The Fund has a target size of EUR 1.5 billion with over EUR 700 million already committed. Its objective is to partner with strategic, industrial or financial investors to carry out investments in the areas of renewable energy (e.g. wind, solar, biomass), conventional energy (e.g. gas power plants, electricity or gas networks, storage facilities) and transport (e.g. roads, airports).

The Fund is looking for highly qualified, strongly motivated candidates

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong modelling (proficiency in Excel) and analytical skills

• Strong academic background with an exposure to finance

• Excellent written verbal communication skill

• Ability to work within a small team

• Fluency in English is required (working language is English). Any other European language would be a plus

• Internship agreement (“Convention de stage”) with your university

• Duration of 6 to 12 months

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in either private equity, infrastructure investment, investment banking (MA, Project Finance) or a corporation / consultancy firm specialized in the energy, renewable or transport sector

ROLE

• Preparation and review of project valuations, involving detailed financial modelling

• Scenario and sensitivity analysis;

• Support in origination, analysis, execution and management of equity investments

• Support in due diligence, review of technical, commercial and legal documentation

• Preparation of investment proposals for the management of the Fund and the investment committee

• Preparation of reports and other documentation for the investment committee and other executive bodies of the Fund
