Monitoring of existing Private Equity funds and managers
Responsible for quarterly reporting to clients: design, content, approvals and distribution. Requires coordination with underlying managers, administrators, middle office and compliance
Increasing, with time, involvement in the origination, market mapping and thematic research involved in Private Equity fund selection and analysis of secondary transactions
Preparation of marketing materials and information on the technical features of the product.
Assist in carrying out market mapping, screening and due diligence, and assist marketing teams in the completion of demand assessments
Assist other members of the  Private Equity team in the process of developing and launching private equity products
Maintain and update training materials and be responsible for execution of a private equity education and training programme for Relationship Managers
Involvement in the Private Equity Steering Committee as Secretary responsible for coordination of meetings, and preliminary screening and analysis of proposals

Leadership Teamwork
The role will require co-operation with a number of areas within Private Bank. Most notably this includes:  product development and legal, sales and marketing, and staff globally, as well as third-party administrators, and clients.

Operational Effectiveness Control
The position outlined by this job description constitutes a “controlled function” requiring specific FSA approval under section 59 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. This particular position is defined as a “Customer Function” controlled function and, as such, the holder must ensure that their personal conduct complies in all respects with the first four statements of Principal for Approved Persons and related Code of Practice for Approved Persons.

Major Challenges
To ensure that product reporting is completed accurately and on a timely basis
To deepen and expand Private Equity knowledge in a select number of investment sectors
To ensure marketing and educational material is compliant and being disseminated properly
To liaise effectively with fund managers and sales with regard to marketing new and existing products.
To conduct preliminary analysis on potential investment opportunities
To manage and track an effective global education and training programme

Role Context
The role is part of a small team with significant independence and responsibility.

Knowledge Experience / Qualifications needed
Graduate degree level of education or equivalent.
Prior private equity fund investment experience and understanding of the asset class is a must.
Experience in writing concise reports in English, preferably on private equity fund performance (Microsoft Office advanced skills), and in sales and project management ideal
