Private Equity Junior Analyst
Must have internship experience/6 months experience and have graduated from a leading university.
My client is an independent private equity manager based in London that is seeking to employ a junior analyst to join their team. With funds ranging from £6m to recent investor commitments of £40m+ you will be joining a group with over 80 years of experience in the private equity domain. As a junior analyst you will gain a broad exposure to a range of clients, investors and market opportunities as well as building a wide range of skills necessary to develop your corporate finance career.
The role:
- The role will be primarily focused on deal sourcing and also spending time seeking new opportunities
- Researching companies and industries through a number of different sources
- Preparing marketing materials and other documentation including pitches, information memoranda, and management presentations
- Maintaining and updating company databases
The candidate:
- A record of high achievement both academic and extra-curricular (2:1 or above required from a leading university plus strong A-levels or equivalent)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong numerical skills with an understanding of and interest in business and financial markets
- Good command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Confident and rounded individual with strong inter-personal skills to be able to liaise effectively with both clients and colleagues
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to pick things up quickly
- Excellent project management / organisational skills
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
Preferred qualities:
- Proven team player – needs to be able to be relied upon to deliver on time
- Willingness to learn and progress personal abilities
- Confidence with an appropriate level of humility
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Balanced background with a keen interest in other extra-curricular activities
- Social skills and a keenness to contribute to the team outside of the normal working day
