Private Equity Officer
The New York office of Brown Brothers Harriman Co. (BBH) seeks a Senior Associate for its principal investing group (BBH Capital Partners). The position entails a wide range of responsibilities including industry research, financial modeling, valuation analyses, transaction structuring, due diligence/deal execution, deal sourcing, and portfolio company monitoring. The position will include frequent interaction with the management teams of current and prospective portfolio companies and with many internal and external constituencies. BBH is targeting candidates who can make an immediate impact based on prior work experience, with a preference for individuals with at least 3-5 years of the following types of experience: (i) principal investing (at a private equity fund or the principal investing arm of a hedge fund or other alternative asset manager); (ii) direct lending (mezzanine/junior capital or senior lending); or (iii) investment banking. Demonstrated analytical and writing skills and strong undergraduate academic achievement and involvement are also required. An MBA is a plus but not required.
