Private Equity Pricing Analyst recruitment

Role Objective:

• The general group objective is to add value; this includes enhancing analysis, development and implementation of reserving methodologies and redefining the current valuations methodology in place.

Role Responsibilities:

• Running month end independent price verification process to ensure positions are marked correctly.

• Implementation of valuation / pricing adjustment and reserve methodologies.

• Striving for best practice and coverage of all business areas (Global banking, asset management and corporate investments).

• Assist in building a variety of analytical tools to assist the valuation of the private equity and alternative asset products.

• Interpret results and data from external clients (wealth managers, private equity investor and investment funds).

• Analysis of model and calibration performance.

• Interaction with the Model Review team within the wider Valuations group to ensure that the most appropriate valuation models are used.

• Significant interaction with the Front Office discussing the results of the month end processes.

• Project work as required on new systems and functionality enhancements.

• Improve efficiency by challenging processes and procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

• Due to the focus on PE and AA products our client will consider candidates from a variety of backgrounds; i) derivative pricing/ valuations of relevant products within an investment bank, ii) private equity analyst from a firm, iii) a candidate with experience of industry analysis and financial modelling experience, iv) a candidate from a corporate finance background.

• Familiarity with derivative instruments in particular Securitised products.

• Understanding of methodologies for managing traded risk.

• The candidate must be able to communicate these concepts both verbally and via documentation, to accountants, traders, quants and risk managers, and be able to defend or challenge their validity.

• Experience working on NAV advantageous but not essential.

• ACA/ CIMA or MSc in Finance related subject preferable but not essential.
