Opportunity:

This firm is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join its Dallas office.  The individual will be primarily responsible for assisting on investment banking transactions of private equity fund and direct company interests.  This includes the preparation of engagement materials, transaction marketing, manager and portfolio company due diligence, detailed valuation analysis and financial modeling.  The Analyst will work in a small office environment directly with the firm’s senior professionals and will play a key role in executing transactions and assisting with business development efforts.  The individual will also be afforded the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the private equity industry and will be expected to develop relationships with various industry constituents.

Successful candidates will satisfy the following criteria:

- 1-2 years of prior work experience in investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting or private equity

- Proficiency with financial modeling and valuation analysis as well as relevant software packages and databases (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Capital IQ, etc.)

- Strong work ethic, with the highest degree of maturity, self-initiative and motivation

- Impeccable interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients, private equity sponsors and other firm relationships within the investment community

- Highly detail oriented with the ability to effectively manage several concurrent projects

- Excellent undergraduate performance at a leading university/college
