POSITION SUMMARY:
The Private Markets Data Analyst works directly with consultants and other private markets investment professionals to provide investment consulting services to clients.
The Private Markets Data Analyst position is an entry-level operations position. The Private Markets Data Analyst is expected to progressively increase his or her level of knowledge regarding general investment topics, the investment consulting and management industry, and firm-specific practices. A Private Markets Data Analyst who masters the position’s core responsibilities may have opportunity to formally contribute to investment research.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Basic understanding of financial and statistical concepts and solid analytical skills
• Ability to gather, organize, coordinate, and interpret data from disparate sources
• Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills, including facility with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and to proactively seek new responsibilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with professionals in multiple departments across multiple locations
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year post graduate work experience. Work experience and an educational concentration in economics, business, or finance as well as CFA candidacy are preferred.
