Private Wealth Associate recruitment
The Private Wealth Team will be responsible for guiding the PWA’s activities to include follow-up on territory meetings and calls to broker dealer branches or Investment Advisor firms. In addition, the individual will support the Private Wealth Portfolio Manager.
Sales Support
• Responsibilities include supporting the Private Wealth sales channel, updating marketing databases and presentations
• Ability to handle multiple projects/duties independently in a time sensitive environment
• Prepare RFIs, RFP’s and other questionnaires
- Utilize the sales process to spot opportunities, identify needs, and provide solutions to Financial Advisors-document all communications and have experience with Satuit database
- Stay abreast of market trends, current investment themes and portfolio strategies
- Work with Sales Team by assisting with follow-up to meetings and other territory campaigns
- Keep Sales Team informed of important conversations and escalate “hot” issues as necessary
- Possess strong working knowledge of and ability to represent the firm’s product suite
- Promptly and professionally respond to financial advisor’s inquiries and requests
- Help write Monthly/Quarterly commentaries, and support External Wholesalers and Financial Advisors
Trading Support
• The position is required to handle settlement and trade fail issues. In addition, the person will be the first line of communication with back office support, cash flows and account opening and closing
• Assist the Private Wealth Portfolio Manager in trading US Dollar-denominated fixed-income securities.
• Duties include trade entry to Bloomberg Module as well as other back-office support systems
• Daily monitoring of market trading levels, for client holdings
• Understand differing fixed income bond structures and liquidity differences between securities
• Work with back office to resolve trade related issues
• Work with portfolio managers on trade allocations as needed
• Have a general understanding of Yield Book, with an emphasis in understanding performance attribution
• Assist in other trading functions as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 1-3 years of sales related experience within a financial brokerage or investment management environment, specifically fixed-income is preferred
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to prioritize; organizational skills a must
- Technologically savvy with experience in working with Market Axess, Bloomberg, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Satuit and Outlook
- Flexibility to work extra hours as requested to meet project deadlines
- Full time after 90-day review period
