Wells Fargo Equipment Finance, Inc. (WFEFI) is one of the largest bank-owned equipment leasing and finance companies in the US. This position is within WFEFI's Commercial Banking Division. Transactions in this segment are originated through Wells Fargo Bank referral sources. The candidate is responsible for evaluating complex commercial lease and loan transactions by conducting due diligence on customers financial statements and assessing strategic risks associated with their operations and industry. The position involves making sound lending decisions and recommendations on a timely basis that are consistent with our credit culture and business strategy. The candidate must be able to exercise sound judgment and meet tight deadlines. The position also requires solid communication skills and the ability to negotiate transactions with our customers as well as our internal partners. The position does require occasional travel in the United States. Basic Qualifications: 6+ years underwriting experience. Minimum Qualifications: - 6+ years experience in commercial credit analysis or loan/lease underwriting. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external customers. - Strong problem solving and analytical skills. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel and general computer skills. Preferred Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. - MBA degree or working to achieve this degree. - Strong organizational skills. - Ability to work in a team environment. - Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment.
