Primary Focus
Company procedures can directly affect pipeline system operations as well as the safety of personnel, the public, the environment and the equipment controlled. Enbridge Operating and Maintenance Procedures are used by employees and outline the requirements for safe pipeline operation and maintenance activities. The standards and procedures are based on regulation, industry best practices, subject matter expert input and stakeholder input.
The primary focus of this position is to provide continuous clean-up and up-keep of various operating and maintenance policy, standard, procedure and guideline documents for Liquids Pipelines Operations (cross-border). This includes document ownership of the following Enbridge Operating and Maintenance Procedure Manuals.
- Book 3: Pipeline Maintenance
- Book 6: Equipment Maintenance
As required or defined, the role may include ancillary responsibilities towards the following procedure manuals as well.
- Book 2: Safety
- Book 4: Welding
- Book 5: Petroleum Quality and Measurement
- Book 7: Emergency Response
- Book 8: Environment
Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and/or revising existing procedures under the responsibility of Operations thereby ensuring consistent processes are maintained and followed across all of Liquids Pipelines.
Lead the integration of Enbridge Liquids Pipelines Operating and Maintenance Procedures with other stakeholder departments (ie. Control Centre, Pipeline Integrity).
Lead, develop and facilitate the Operations review and approval processes for all new or revised procedures within the framework of the Pipeline Compliance defined Operations and Maintenance Procedures Management System.
Lead, develop and facilitate the annual review of Operations owned procedures to verify that the information contained within each subject is technically accurate and in accordance with applicable regulations and/or industry standards.
Qualifications
Ten or more years in Oil, Gas or Pipeline operational/technical experience.
Formal post-secondary background in technology highly desirable.
Demonstrated competence and knowledge of technical procedures and their purpose within the hydrocarbon transportation industry.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and computer skills.
Must have proven leadership skills and ability to prioritize heavy workloads.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
