We are currently seeking a talented, highly motivated, and technically excellent Process Automation Engineer for our Brackenridge, Pennsylvania area location.

 

The Position includes responsibility for computer systems implemented as mission critical automation and control systems in an industrial environment.  The Position will work with Production, Quality, Information Technology, Technical Services, and Process Engineering departments to accomplish goals related to process and quality improvements, cost reduction, equipment obsolescence/integration, and automation improvement.  The successful candidate must exhibit a strong attention to detail, have the ability to deliver high-quality, well documented solutions, and be able to work effectively with minimal instruction.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

·        Architect, modify and maintain mission critical systems

·        Lead/participate in problem-solving activities; engineer and implement solutions

·        Lead/participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of new, PC-based automation systems

·        Interact with internal customers, as required, in the performance of job responsibilities

·       Share 24 hour, 7 day, on-call support responsibilities on a rotating basis with existing staff

 

Education Required

 

·        A BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent from an accredited college/university is required

 

Experience Requirements (3+ years):

 

·        Integrated system design, administration and maintenance in an industrial environment

·        SQL Server Database programming administration

·        Familiarity with interfaces to Level I (PLC) and Business Systems

·        Understanding of process automation network infrastructures

·        Programming using Object Oriented Programming tools (e.g., C++, C#, Java)

·       Configuration, administration, maintenance, and upgrade of Wintel PC Server hardware/software

 

Additional Highly Desirable Experience:

 

·       Web page  development/maintenance/administration

·       Apache or IIS development/maintenance/administration

·       Administration and maintenance of VMWare-virtual machines, Unix-based systems, DEC VMS, or digital video retention

·       Programming/administration using REXX, VB, DELPHI, Visual Studio, Coldfusion, or Attunity
