£23,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

 

Our client is the leading producer of specialty metal and chemical products. They deploy a range of proprietary and proven technologies to produce products which are used in a number of pharmaceutical, electronic and industrial applications.

 

They now have an exciting opportunity available for a Process Development Engineer to join them to effectively manage and implement multiple projects relating to new chemical process introduction, production expansion or process improvement and to carry out any other technical tasks as they arise.

 

As a Process Development Engineer, you must develop and lead projects from concept feasibility studies through to commissioning, coordinating activities of the project team which consist of on-site personnel and sub contractors. Managing capital projects and ensuring tight timescales and budgets are adhered to; you will be involved with project proposals, planning documentation, investigating new processes and contract and equipment specifications.

 

Candidates for this role must have proven industrial experience and hold a degree or equivalent in chemical process engineering. With relevant experience as a project team leader, you will have strong project planning skills and have experience in taking an idea from literature search through to handover and finally production. Essentially, you will be familiar with all aspects of environmental, Health Safety legislation including; ATEX, CDM and COMAH regulations and implementations.

 

Candidates who are currently working towards or hold chartered status would be desirable, coupled with experience of working in a fine chemicals / high purity / pharmaceutical / clean room environment.
