Currently, we are seeking a Process Engineer III or IV for our Mobile, AL location.

Process Engineers at KC initiate design, develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety, quality and operational performance expectations. Specifically, the Engineer for this role will offer process engineering and technical leadership to Regenerate and Improve projects in Family Care.
The candidate must have expertise across multiple technologies and will have a demonstrated ability to effectively interface with a cross-functional team that includes product/quality assurance, safety, product supply, mill operations, etc. The incumbent reports to the Mobile RI team leader and receives direction in the form of specific project objectives. This role will focus on Mobile projects for both the tissue manufacturing and tissue converting sides, and will have opportunities to support projects in UCTAD, Wipes, CTEC, and DRC.

Responsibilities:
1.)Lead process development implementation projects with a financial scope of up to $10MM from conception through commercialization.

2.)Work closely with the product and engineering leads to provide functional guidance in the design, development and/or optimization of converting and manufacturing equipment/processes to meet unit objectives.

3.)Develop knowledge and skills in application of engineering principles, scientific analysis and project management.

4.)Conduct all job responsibilities in a safe manner.

5.)Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause and viable engineering solutions.

Qualifications:
1.)Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing or Mechanical discipline from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments. Other relevant scientific disciplines with the described experience level will also be considered.

2.)Experience using manufacturing analytical tools such as engineering statistics and data analyses, statistical process control, design of experiments, process capability studies, etc.

3.)Demonstrated ability to work independently or to lead a team to complete projects within required timeframes.

Preferred Qualifications:
1.)Strong working knowledge and background in the safe operation of high-speed converting equipment including the ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements within major capital projects.

2.)Awareness of guidelines and design safety standards across the high-speed converting industry.

3.)Up to 12 years of experience in a variety of plant and staff assignments, including maintenance and operations.

4.)Experience working with external technical service providers and sourcing supply vendor partners.
