Process Engineer Job in Chester 19013, Pennsylvania Us
Our client, engaged in the manufacture and marketing of health care products worldwide, is currently seeking Process Engineers responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes at their facility in the Chester, PA area. These are CONTRACT positions. These assignments are scheduled through May 8, 2012, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only.
Responsibilities
- Initiate design, develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations
- Provide design, development, optimization and problem solving of converting equipment and support capital projects
- Lead various engineering projects with a financial scope of up to $1 million
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Pulp and Paper or other applicable Engineering degree from an accredited college or university. Candidates with an Associate, Bachelor, or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline will also be considered
- Experience with manufacturing analysis tools, such as SPC (statistical process control), Design of Experiments, Process Capability Studies, Six Sigma, Center Lining and Variable Assessment is preferred
- At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment or in a manufacturing support role
- Experience with high speed converting and packaging processes and equipment is a plus
- Technical knowledge and expertise in pulp / paper technology is desired
