Dana Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Process Engineer in Lima, Ohio.

Primary Duties Responsibilities

• Manage the successful transition of new products technology into the production area.
• Responsible for monitoring and improving the manufacturing process
• Troubleshooting problems areas and working with production to maximize the process yields, throughput, quality, up-time, and reducing costs
• Manage capital and expense projects
• Designs, develops, tests, and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
• Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improve efficiencies.
• Performs research, design development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods production equipment.
• Design and procure tools equipment
• Process development documentation of manufacturing work instructions.
• EHS Compliance and performance
• Investigates customers concerns to resolve process related issues
• Designs implements corrective actions to resolve process issues
• Establishes operating procedures to assist in control of the production process.
• Ensure the quality of finished product raw materials meet customer requirements
• Work with maintenance and automation techcains to ensure equipment is maintained and is in safe working condition
• Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow design/layout of equipment and workspace
• Participate and support company’s lean manufacturing / Six Sigma initiatives

Required Skills

• Kaizen Lean manufacturing technologies
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Must have knowledge of computers, machining, and assembly practices, tools fixtures
• Ability to work with vendors, customers, employees at all levels of the organization
• Excellent communication skills
• Must excel at working in a team environment
• Technical skills in manufacturing processes methods including flow, layout, assembly production equipment
• Positive employee relations

Education:
B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrial or another related field.

Experience:
2 – 3 years experience in manufacturing environment prefer in a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier company.

Strong project management skills; lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
