JOB DESCRIPTION:
Overview:
This position is responsible to support the packaging and labeling process and associated activities for both new and existing packaging components. The Process Engineer will work with internal and external groups to identify, select, test and recommend primary and secondary packaging solutions to packaging and labeling processes, while working closely with manufacturing to determine equipment requirements and ensuring performance of packaging lines.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for packaging component used in manufacturing, and recommending /investigating new/existing packaging components for manufacturing use.
- Provide input to the packaging and labeling department for component selection by participating in project activities, including packaging equipment requirements/qualifications.
- Support and troubleshoot packaging problems for new or existing components by monitoring, measuring, and analyzing the critical aspects of the packaging and labeling department. Recommend changes in procedures and equipment requirements to improve quality and efficiency in the packaging process.
- Document project work clearly and concisely, including formal project progress reports.
- Participate effectively in project team meetings and communicate to all team members in a timely manner.
- Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Individuals with equivalent combination of education, training and related experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a Pharmaceutical industry or related packaging experience required.
- Experience working with vendors.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent project responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of applicable SOP's, cGMPs and industry guidelines.
- Ability to work in a computer oriented environment using word, excel, and lotus notes. Ability to work in a team environment.
