Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Process Safety Auditor. This is a Contract opportunity with a leading company in Orangeburg, SC.
Overall site responsibility for OSHA Process Safety Management with emphasis on the process hazard audits and management of closure of items identified in those PHA's
Accountabilities:
- Process safety Management compliance
- PHA's conducted on schedule with OSHA Company requirements
- Positive outcome of PHA audits
- Timely issue of PHA reports
- Timely closure of PHA findings
- Site Process Safety Information systems including PSV calculations, material balances, chemistry basis, etc.
- Critical equipment inspection program Coordinate "closure" of findings through risk profiling, development of projects, and work orders
- Audit site compliance with process safety policies and practices Assure PID updates are completed
Responsibilities:
- Assure process chemistry has been reviewed and questions answered
- Lead all PHA's at the site (possibly some at other sites)
- Select appropriate team for each PHA
- Prepare and issue PHA report
- Participate in validation and prioritization of PHA findings
- Evaluation of flare system compatibilities capacities Understands the importance of Health, Safety and Environment issues to the success of our organization
- Accurately assesses the HSE hazards of the job
- Takes aggressive action to correct unsafe, unhealthy, or threatening environmental conditions or activities on the job, or in other aspects of life, in order to prevent accidents
- Understands that success is determined by performance in this area
- Develops, understands and follows procedures to assure this continuous improvement and does not have near misses, incidents, or accidents
- Identify and properly handle hazardous waste, which may include proper collection, packaging, labeling, segregation, storage, use of waste manifest and shipping according to company procedures and instruction
Requirements:
-3 to 10 yrs experience working in a similar role preferred but may consider candidates with a Chemical Engineering background
- Preferred candidate will have a minimum 3 yrs experience working in a OSHA PSM (Process Safety Management) facility with flammables/hazardous chemicals
