Role Synopsis Provides technical support for process antifoulants, petrochemical additives, and heat transfer modeling/simulation. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager located in Sugar Land, TX USA. The primary anticipated support activity will be North America. Periodic support of non-North America accounts would also be expected on a secondary basis. Position to be based in Sugar Land, TX. About 20-25% travels anticipated. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Participate in technical team selling through direct customer interface via discussions and presentations. Make technical recommendations. Perform problem diagnostics and troubleshooting. Perform application audits. Provide customer and internal training. Assist with new product introduction to the market through technical presentations, trial support, and data collection/analysis. Investigate unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative action. Handle special projects, as assigned. Assist sales in identifying new product opportunities and development strategies. Interface with sales/sales management to support direction and strategies to best capture market opportunities and value. Promote and maintain good customer relations. This position involves safety sensitive or hazardous duty activities and therefore will be subject to random and annual drug alcohol testing in accordance with the Company policy. Performs other related duties as required. Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Engineering . 8 Years related experience. Five years or more relevant refining and/or olefins/di-olefins process experience. Process simulation application experience and rigorous heat transfer analysis beneficial. Engineering process design without direct process operations experience not desirable. English fluency required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Direct customer interface experience in a sales, technical support, or customer service role. Proficiency in the use of personal computer and MS Windows and MS Office applications. Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Desired/Preferred Qualifications BS Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Process additive sales or technical support experience beneficial. Other Details Position to be based in Sugar Land, TX. 20-25% travels anticipated.
