Position Overview:

Xtalic Corporation is recruiting for a Process/Analytical Chemist for our Marlborough, Massachusetts facility. We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented individual with experience in quantitative chemical analysis to join our products and applications development team.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Analytical method development and optimization

·         Quality control of raw materials and chemical products

·         Customer-driven troubleshooting investigations

·         Quantitative chemical analysis of customer and internal samples

·         Participation in project planning, execution, and review

·         Execution of work in a timely, organized, and well-documented manner

·         Maintenance of chemicals and laboratory supplies

Specific Skills Required:

·         Working knowledge of analytical, inorganic, or transition-metal chemistry

·         Experience in both wet quantitative chemical analysis and instrumental techniques is preferred, which can include: titration, extraction, column- or thin-layer chromatography,  UV-vis, AA, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, GC, GC-MS, IR, Raman, HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, X-ray methods, or electroanalytical methods

·         Understanding of statistics and errors in chemical measurement systems

·         Interest in characterizing electro-deposited coatings in terms of their composition, thickness, hardness, corrosion- and wear-resistance using a variety of techniques

·         Ability to communicate effectively when required to train new users of the technology

Education/Experience:

·         1-3 year laboratory experience minimum

·         BS degree (Chemistry or a related field)

·         Excellent communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills
