Description Processes and records transactions relating to establishing and maintaining customer accounts of generally moderate complexity according to existing policies and procedures independently, referring more unusual questions to more experienced staff. Performs data entry of generally moderately complex new accounts, renewals and account changes on system determines type of account, reviews any unique features, identifies assigned account personnel and enters information according to established procedures. May communicate directly with customers and coordinate with necessary internal, carrier and other outside personnel to request information, process accounts and resolve questions and issues. May take customer calls in absence of customer service personnel. Receives and records customer correspondence, payments and other information onto system, ensuring that account information remains current. Sends correspondence and reports to customers as needed. Verifies work, ensuring that transactions were processed accurately corrects any errors identified. Prepares and sends customer invoices as necessary, ensuring that invoices are clear, accurate and timely. May contact customers to resolve problems. Closes customer accounts as necessary, making appropriate system entries and finalizing account file for proper documentation. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent experience 1-2 Years of related experience Basic knowledge of insurance agency operations required. Understanding of processing procedures for applicable lines of insurance. Attention to detail. Keyboard skills. Communication skills, both verbal and written. PC skills.
