Procurement - Administrative

FLSA:  Non-Exempt

Position Location: Portage, IN

 

Tasks and responsibilities.

 

1.       Specific tasks and responsibilities.

·      Primary point of contact for procurement of all product and supplies locally sourced and from   Fronius International.

·      Assurance of parts availability by executing purchasing and planning tasks.

·      Implementation of planning activities, inquiries, orders, delivery deadlines, reminders and complaints.

·      Continuous optimization of inventory stocks, batch order quantities, frequency

      of deliveries as well as shipment types (air/sea).

·      Establishment of optimized materials planning parameters to control the

      inventory levels.

·         Coordinate and execute all purchase orders to suppliers including incoming invoice booking, tracking of receipts and filing of purchase orders.

·         Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers on the phone

      and via email on a daily basis.

2.       Leadership tasks and responsibilities.

·         Promote and support the Fronius Way philosophy.

 

Requirements.

 

1.       Education.

·         Bachelors Degree from accredited University in business related field.

2.   Specific education.

·         None Required.

3.       Professional experience.

·         2 – 3 years experience in the area of purchasing and materials planning

     preferred..        

4.  Skills and knowledge.

·         Proficient in Microsoft programs, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

·         Strong attention to detail and technical comprehension.

·         Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.

·         Ability to function in a work both independently and as a team member.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Willingness to assume greater responsibilities, as required.

·         Good knowledge of ERP system (BaaN) an advantage.

5.  Languages

·         Fluent in English, spoken and written.

·         Ability to speak and understand German and Spanish a plus.

6.  Required training.

·         Successful applicant will be required to complete a training period in Brighton, MI from

      date of hire to approximately September 1, 2012.
