Procurement Analyst
Job Description:
An Procurement Support Analyst is required for a Global ICT Outsourcer for an initial 3-6 month contract with a view for this to be extended further. The role will be working within the buyer support function which will involve buying approvals, networks buying and analysis of the telecoms estate using different internal reporting/ analysis systems and generally supporting the procurement team with day to day activities and administration. You will ideally have exposure to Telecoms/ ICT arena and a strong administration background. We are reviewing candidates that come from a Telecoms/Technical background in which the procurement experience could be a desirable, if you are knowledgable within this specialist area.
Accountabilities:
- Implementing processes and systems that enable and encourage best practice.
- Using agreements to leverage pricing and service delivery in the UK.
- Delivering savings, efficiencies and improvements on customer supply contracts.
- Under management supervision initiating, tendering, negotiating and implementing advantageous local contracts and agreements.
- Providing information on alternatives and options to management in respect of current supply contracts in order to enhance pricing or service levels.
- Assisting in the provision of post-contract supplier management including, where appropriate, quantitative measurement of performance to agreed SLAs.
- Assisting in the provision of procurement support to the sales team in order to maximise the success rate of new bids.
- Promoting a culture of best practice, continuous improvement, flexibility and change in line with values
- Provide reporting on areas of supply chain activity they are responsible for to procurement management.
Skills Experience Required:
Ideally some knowledge of ERP systems (procurement, inventory management, materials management elements) and excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Experience in the following departments- Procurement- Contract management- Logistics- IT Asset management- Finance- Sales- ICT.
