Job Summary

This position reports to a designated Procurement Manager in Third Party Manufacturing. Responsible for providing support to the Third Party Manufacturing Procurement Manager(s) in the areas of maintaining the relationship with the existing Third Party Manufacturing base, managing the outsourcing operational project execution, analyzing opportunities within the Supply Chain and assisting in the search, validation, establishment of future outsourcing opportunities. Is a Procurement expert in data analysis and use of Sourcing tools.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Aid in the implementation of future out-sourcing opportunities

  1. Prepare market intelligence of appropriate supply / technology market
  2. Conduct ongoing supplier benchmarking
  3. Design and prepare cost models
  4. Implement confidentiality agreements
  5. Assemble New Project “Fact Sheets” to prospective Co-packers.
  6. Become fully operational and actively use Sourcing tools
  7. Use RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and e-auctions, e-exchanges (e.g. Develop RFx and e-auction documents) as needed.
  8. As needed analyze supplier responses and prepare summary reports for team discussion and decision making
  9. Monitor and track ongoing supplier performance data / KPIs
  10. Prepare supplier evaluation / assurance data to ensure supply base meets agreed performance criteria for service and quality
  11. Facilitate continuous improvement with the supply base - communicates output, follows up corrective action and review with internal customers, supplier relationship managers and suppliers.
  12. As needed participate in the sourcing strategy development for specified technologies within area of spend responsibility
  13. Represents Third Party Manufacturing on Category Working Teams, 3PM run strategy Teams, Project and Innovation Teams as necessary.
  14. Assist in the ongoing management of existing Third Party Manufacturing relationships
  15. Resolve payment issues
  16. Assure compliance with Unilever’s Record Retention program and business practices
  17. Coordinate resolution of discontinued materials
  18. Review 3PMcost sheets
  19. Maintaining Unilever Asset Inventories
  20. Manage relationships

Liaisons / coordinates with all supply chain functions, SC planning, Inventory Control, RD, Product Development, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal in support of on-going business and new initiatives. Spend and portfolio varies and is dependent on Category/Technology assignment.


Key Requirements

Undergraduate Degree, Supply Chain discipline preferred but not essential. Minimum of 3+ years of broad based Supply Chain responsibilities, Manufacturing SAP experience preferred. This is a technical position with the need to utilize proficient IT/SAP and organizational skills to complete expected results.
