The incumbent will work with the Regional Procurement Director EMEA and VP Corporate Procurement. You will be responsible for the procuring of Indirect Services and will perform assignments requiring a broad knowledge and understanding of the Indirect Services category of spend, aggressively managing the category strategies and the implementation of business and supply chain management best practices, principles, and disciplines. The incumbent is responsible to exclusively manage the category and drive measurable improvements, period over period, in support of the Corporate Procurement Office goals and strategies.

Position Responsibilities

Serve as the primary client interface, with an expert level of skill and experience, to internal/external customers for the procurement of indirect services that support SunGard businesses.

• Professional/Staff Training
• HR Services Benefits
• Marketing Media
• Legal and Accounting Services
• General Business (e.g., Business Intelligence, Printing, Promotional Materials, misc.)

Proficiently develop, communicate and implement the category strategies for indirect services. Create and execute short-term and long-term strategies that align with the Company goals and drive value-add and cost reductions in support of company financial expectations.

Perform internal assessment of established positions, current and future needs, external assessment of market trends and competitive suppliers; develop financial models to assess Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and opportunities to leverage change requirements to lower TCO; work closely with key Business Leaders across multiple business segments/regions to establish, implement, and sustain the sourcing strategy.

Independently manage sourcing process: complete RFI/RFP processes, select and negotiate with vendors; establish and maintain contractual and business relationships with the vendors; communicate with Business Group/Regional influencers and users on the selection and continuous support of the program.

Manage all TCO levers including demand, volume, compliance and process improvement, and represent the Corporate Procurement Office as SunGard's Services Sourcing Expert.

Lead cross-functional teams and work in a multi-countries environment to ensure that Business Groups are represented and provide input in the execution of the services sourcing processes.
Remain current with future trends within the marketplace. Maintain relationships with vendors, general purchasing consortiums, 3rd party providers, and other market experts; recommend new technologies and solutions.

Proactively manage providers including, supplier management performance evaluations, feedback and corrective actions to ensure world class services. Track and improve vendor performance through the use of key performance indicators.

Drive cooperation and the development of company-wide standards to facilitate strong links between SunGard and its vendors/suppliers; lead and drive supplier development where appropriate.

Negotiate and implement Preferred Supplier Programs across represented service lines.

Support Company's sustainability initiatives, as possible, through developed supplier programs.

• BS Degree (Business Management/Marketing or Supply Chain preferred) or equivalent work-related experience
• Proven experience of relevant functional experience within supply chain management
• Fluent English
• Requires a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of service category management, business and supply chain management practices, theories, principles, and disciplines
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and enterprise-wide projects, having financial obligations of up to $100M annually
• Demonstrates creative problem solving and design of innovative solutions
• Strong aptitude/ technical knowledge for understanding information systems, processes and structures
• Expert analytical /decision making capabilities, including strong data manipulation skills using MS-Excel
• Incumbents at this level perform their functions with considerable independence and judgment. Leadership and influence are exercised through participation in task forces, peer teams, and conferences
• Excellent written and verbal communications across internal and external resources and in support of RFIs, RFPs processes, as well as business engagements and presentations
• Key competencies would include: Strong pricing analysis, negotiation and vendor management skills, high energy, analytical thinking, strategic planning, and team collaboration
• CIPS certification a plus
• Additional languages could be an advantage (French, German)
