About our Client
Our client is one of the leading FMCG companies. Due to their business growth, they are now looking for a Direct Material Procurement Category Manager in Melbourne.
Job Description
You will be in a stand alone position reporting to the Sourcing Director. You will be responsible for:
- Work with the operations team for the Sourcing of categories such as ingredients, packaging, etc
- Work on assigned projects; develop and negotiation contracts
- Set up the Sourcing Purchasing procedure and scorecard, maintain the vendor pool; involve new vendors when necessary in order to maximize the company profit such as cost saving
The Successful Applicant
The Successful Applicant needs to have:
- Relevant experience in sourcing contract management.
- FMCG background will be preferred
- Familiar with Direct Material Procurement such as ingredients, packaging and co-manufacturing
- Solid project management skill with proven cost saving achievement in the past
- Self contributor also a team leader
- Bachelor Degree or above
