Job Description

Working within a well established Procurement team that has previously been predominantly focused on direct spend, this role takes primary responsibility for indirect category expenditure. You will take control of a relatively greenfield procurement set up supply base and apply commercial best practice to maximise the benefits from current suppliers through internal influence of senior stakeholders and external supplier management. This includes the renegotiation and improvement of current supplier arrangements.

Procurement within the organisation exists to improve the ease in which the organisation does business and not to make sweeping changes and enforce mandates, as in some organisations. Compliance to preferred suppliers is high and achieved through the value add that the procurement function provides.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in your application you will have extensive procurement experience. The ability to negotiate with existing suppliers is key and the organisation is looking for a strategic and commercially minded individual who is able to maximise the effectiveness of agreements without having to continually go to market to obtain price deflation. You will also need to have an engaging personality to drive increased buy-in across the business.

What's on Offer

Salary commensurate with experience, circa $120,000 - $130,000 Base + Super + Bonus.
