Procurement Manager
To be based in Chessington / Greater London
Salary is £35k - £40k
An excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading entertainment companies as part of the Purchasing Team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent delivery of procurement solutions in alignment with the business need
- Deliver quality, service and value for money, consistently, to all areas of the business
- Consolidate and reduce the supply chain
- Liaise with attraction staff to ensure that their business needs from procurement are clearly briefed
- Measurable delivery of savings as defined by Procurement Director
- Ensure that all contracts for the supply of goods and services have appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLA's) contained within them
- Ensure all contracts have Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) with which to monitor and measure standards of supply
- Ensure that all contracts are formally completed in conjunction with our legal advisors
- Promote the 'Trading Partners' accreditation scheme for approved suppliers and encourage participation
- Conduct regular performance appraisals with suppliers and service providers in line with SLA'S/KPI's. Involve attraction staff where appropriate.
- Ensure that all contracts are delivered according to the overall procurement strategy as defined by the Procurement Director
- Work with suppliers to continuously improve the way we work and introduce efficiencies at all stages of the supply chain that will deliver cost savings
- Work with attractions to develop a business plan throughout the operating year so that key deadlines and ordering lead times are not missed
- Continuously review ways of operating in order to ensure we do so efficiently employing best practice at best price.
- Where appropriate and practicable, outsource some functions to specialists in order to focus on core activities.
The ideal candidate will come from the Leisure Industry as a Purchasing Manager and also have the following skills, qualifications experience.
- Member of CIPS
- Worked on budgets in excess of £1.5 million
- Looked after the purchasing budget for the following areas:
- I. site maintenanceUK
- II. Fish livestock and food
- III. Lighting
- IV. Logistics/freight
- V. Energy consumption
