As the client ramps up on their landmark Oil and Gas project it is the time to look for people within the Oil and Gas industry that have experience in Procurement, Expediting and Buying Management who are looking for their next opportunity in a large West Australian Oil and Gas project and have a hands-on approach and at least 8-10 years experience.

Based in Brisbane, the Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for pro-actively managing the procurement of goods and services for the client’s project. This role will involve strict adherence to procurement directives and procedures and the specialist will need to build and enhance vendor and contractor relationships and manage service levels with internal customers.
 
Your Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
 
• Ensure requisitions conform to contractual and service arrangements and meet proper procurement standards and compliance 
• Look for opportunities to reduce waste in processes that are transactionally inefficient 
• Gather market intelligence on materials and services and understand positioning in the market 
• Monitor and expedite overdue orders for goods and services 
• Actively participate in R2P process improvements.
 
You will have the following experience to be successful in this role:

• Minimum of 8-10 years demonstrable and relevant Expediting, Buying and Procurement experience preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Experience in processing procurement requirements and governance and variations to contracts.
• Although tertiary qualifications are not a mandatory requirement, the completion of Supply Chain or Procurement training courses will be highly regarded.
