Procurement Officer recruitment
Our client is one of the successful public listed companies in Hong Kong adopting world class best practice in management and procurement process, is looking for a high caliber Procurement professional to work for the Corporate Units IT Procurement Team. The team is responsible for procurement of a wide of products services including Professional services, Logistics warehousing, Facilities management services, IT Telecom. The appointee will be responsible for one or more categories of purchases. Job scope will include tendering, negotiation and order placement to ensure products and services are awarded on the best possible terms in accordance with the Company’s requirements
In addition, the appointee is also expected to give advice to client departments on procurement related policies and procedures and best practices regarding purchasing activities, tactics and contractual terms.
Responsibilities
- Proactively gather internal clients’ procurement needs, develop implement procurement strategy
- Work with internal clients to define requirement, source service providers/suppliers, conduct tendering, evaluate proposal, negotiate price/terms and award order
- Ensure that related documentation complies with approved policies and standards
- Work with details and proficient in data analysis and result oriented
- Perform any other duties as assigned
- Support corporate procurement initiatives
Qualifications
- Degree or relevant professional qualifications in purchasing/supply management, and / or Business related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years’ solid experience in procurement tendering activities
- Experience in one or more of the categories : Logistics warehousing, Facilities management services, Business services, IT or Office supplies
- Good commercial sense and communication skills
- Enthusiastic, self-driven and possess good interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of common office computer software such as MS Word and Excel
- Strong written and spoken English
- Experience and knowledge of SAP will be preferred
- Immediately available is highly preferred
The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, including 5 days work, MPF, annual leave, incentive bonus medical coverage.
