Job DESCRIPTION

Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.

As the Procurement Program Lead for one of Hamilton Sundstrand' major development programs, you will have the responsibility to manage the procurement activities through all phases of product development (proposal, preliminary design, final design, validation verification, transition to production). Validation of new program proposal's cost.

* The role will focus on taking new programs though the development life cycle while working in an Integrated Product Team structure.

* Responsible for execution of development programs in terms of delivery, quality and design to cost targets (both procurement build-of-material hardware and engineering deliverables).

* Requires a strong integration with Supply Management, leveraging the Commodity Strategies to maximize the impact of new programs for cost.

* Requires direct interface with Senior Management within the business unit customers (Program Managers, etc.) and serves as the link between the program and the supply chain organization.

* Key activity will be to develop and execute standard work within the Procurement for development programs up to and including transition to production.

* Understanding of Global logistics including import/export requirements

* Linkage with the customer service organization ensuring supportability of our products in service.

* Interface with make-buy decisions.

Bachelor' degree in an Engineering or related discipline. A Masters Degree is desirable with some elements of Business Management.

* 2+ years experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Aftermarket and/or Supply Chain disciplines with increasing responsibility.
* Project/Program Management Experience
* A track record of managing to plan and achieving customer satisfaction
* Proven leadership and communication skills
* Cost sensitivity and business judgment with proven bottom line results
* Able to lead in a collaborative team environment
* Reasonable knowledge of Hamilton Sundstrand products is required for the Proposal activity

The candidate will be required to have the following strengths: customer focus, teamwork, analytical ability, communication, organizational savvy, interpersonal skills and focus on results. Employee will also be required to present status reports to executive leadership on IPD programs. ACE experience (or equivalent) and a positive attitude required.
