Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist include, but are not limited to:
- Sourcing product
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding company products and services
- Check availability of stock
- Inventory control – setting reorder points and reorder quantities
- Placing, expediting, and tracking purchase orders for stock and non-stock items per SOPs
- Maintenance of items in inventory management system
- Monitor quality and delivery performance of suppliers
- Complete and Monitor reports including inventory, procurement, and supplier performance metrics
- Assisting with receiving team
- Participate in Special Projects as directed, to include process improvement teams.
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications of the Procurement Specialist include, but are not limited to:
· High School diploma or equivalent certification
- One or more years of MRO product experience a plus
- 1-3 years purchasing and quoting experience a plus
- Inventory Management
- Good analytical and math skills
- Proficiency with computers, specifically Microsoft Office Suite: Word and Excel
- SAP and Prophet 21 experience preferred
- CPM Certification preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level of customer service skills
- Able to multi-task and work independently
- Able and willing to work in an industrial environment
- Must live within a 30 mile radius from the facility
