Our client, an international group, leader in its field with an important renowned and a know-how in high technology; he is looking for the following profile to develop its IT and RD field:
Prod. Manager Printed Circuit Board Assembly
Your challenges
You will be responsible for overseeing production activities associated with assembly and test of printed circuit boards and electronic modules.
This will include ensuring compliance to various industry and aerospace norms, new product introduction, product transfers to preferred suppliers as well as interactions with Clients, Customer Service, Quality and Marketing and Sales.
Your main responsibilities include :
To directly supervise and motivate a team of 4 team leaders, 5 support staff and ~35 direct operators.
To lead production teams to meet or exceed operational goals in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
To oversee efficient and rapid handling of customer orders to guarantee on time delivery and high product quality
To develop and execute the yearly manufacturing plan to deliver the business objectives (production volume, manufacturing controlled cost, quality, safety ¿ )
To collaborate closely with purchasing and logistics department to ensure on time delivery of components while optimizing inventory
To establish and manage the annual production budget
To regularly report performance metrics to upper management
To lead continuous improvement activities in the department, implementing a Lean manufacturing culture and related tools and processes
To manage customer visits as well as customer and quality audits to ensure compliance to required norms and implement correctives actions
To assist in make vs buy decision for PCBA, ensuring overall quality, cost and delivery are optimized.
Participate in timely transfer of products to preferred suppliers if required
To establish product cost calculations and participate in defining target costs for new product introductions
To participate in cross functional teams to manage customer complaints and non-conforming material investigations
To collaborate closely with other departments to actively contribute to overall site performance (Production, Engineering, Finance, Sales)
To assist New Product Introduction (NPI) in developing and implementing electronics manufacturing strategies for these products
Your skills
Minimum 5 years experience with demonstrated success in managing a printed circuit board assembly line or electronics production unit.
Prior management experience overseeing Production Supervisors, related technical personnel and one-shift or multiple shift responsibilities.
Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
Solid cellular manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing experience required - with demonstrated continuous improvement results.
Experience in the aerospace or medical industry of advantage.
French fluent, good command of English required; German a plus.
Strong analytical and planning skills.
Pro-active and persevering personality, enjoying taking initiative, multi-tasking ability.
