Product Accountant/Controller – Equity Markets focus recruitment
GOW is a specialist financial services recruitment firm who represent a diverse range of blue chip domestic international financial institutions. One of our key clients has engaged us to assist in their search for a new Product Controller responsible for their Equities trading business. The role is Sydney based and our client is a leading provider of Cash Equity and Equity Derivatives products within the local market.
In this key role, you will work closely with the business providing accurate and value-added financial information. Primarily you will be responsible for the daily Profit and Loss reporting and analysis as well as providing commentary and analytical review for inclusion in the monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting packs. A key focus of the team over the next 18 months will be the significant enhancement of systems and processes and this role will provide you with a fantastic platform in which to help drive end-to-end change.
Applicants are sought from professionally qualified individuals (preferably CA or CPA) with experience ideally gained within the financial markets sector. This experience could have been gained either in a Product Control, Financial Control or Big 4 Audit environment and you will have a base knowledge of financial products ideally with an equities bias (although this is not a pre-requisite).
Outstanding communication and strong relationship management skills coupled with an ability to work effectively in both an individual and team based environment, are all essential qualities for this role.
