Full Job Description
-Working collaboratively with the functional areas of the business, in particular, Claims, Underwriting, Pricing and the Trading Teams, you will be focused on achieving delivery of market leading Technical strategic controls for all Animal Health and Musical Insurance products resulting in achievement of Corporate Plan objectives, targets and overall Retail strategy
You will
-Assist with the development and implementation of Speciality claims and underwriting strategy
-Assist with external Delegated Authority Schemes regarding underwriting and claims controls ensuring governance and control processes are in place and the schemes are compliant with all appropriate regulation-legislation
-Be responsible for ongoing industry product monitoring for pet and musical products
-Work to transfer Technical knowledge - sharing and promotion of knowledge-skills and best working practices within the team and across the company
-Working to ensure the team is compliant with all appropriate regulation-legislation
-Where appropriate, represent Technical both internally and externally providing requisite technical support
-Good awareness of the UK general insurance market, with a great understanding of the pet insurance market
-In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements within the insurance industry
-Negotiation experience - ability to influence discussions
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Good problem solving and decision making skills
-Previous experience in Animal Health and-or Musical Insurance product lines would be an advantage
-Willing to progress with CII exams
-Confident, self believer with a positive attitude - looks for and finds solutions - logical thinker.
-Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent judgement and intuition
