Leading Investment Bank is looking for a qualified accountant with a background in Cash Equity Product Control. The Product Control team are responsible for reporting and analysis of the revenues and risks for a range of Cash Equity products. You will support the business by providing product control and oversight, challenge existing processes, and carry out detailed PnL analytics to ensure its’ accurate and timely presentation to the desk
Challenge the release and reporting of daily PnLs and adjustments made by controllers.
Assess the validity of PnL against market drivers and trading strategies.
To assist with the analysis and delivery of a number of key projects across Product Control team, specifically around the enhancement of PL processes and controls.
The role involves significant contact with the trading desk, as well as Finance and Operations departments. Responding to frequent queries and requests from the desk
Produce commentary on a weekly and monthly basis for senior product control management
Work with other areas of Finance and front office management to assess the revenue and expense profile of the business.
Understanding and analysing the market risks that the book has taken, relating these to the PL and providing value added commentary or analysis to the Front Office
Production of regular and ad hoc MIS to the business and to senior Finance management
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CA) with 3-4 years in line Product Control as a Product Controller. Possess confident communication skills to effectively liaise with both the Front Office, As well as excellent organisational skills and ability to deal with multiple priorities at any one time.
