Product Control Analyst – EMEA Cross Asset Group recruitment
A Product Control Analyst is sought by the EMEA Cross Asset Group of one of the world's finest investment banks. The role is based in the London Docklands.
This is a challenging role within the EMEA cross asset product control team, primarily responsible for oversight of the product control function and debt value adjustment. There is a wide variety of products covered including swaps, options and exotics across the asset classes. The product control analyst will:
*Manage daily production of PL and month end reporting requirements across the asset classes
*Explanation of PL movements to management
*Profit attribution analysis
*Position reconciliations
*Seek and implement process enhancements to remove operational inefficiencies
We seek a product control analyst with the following skill set:
*Experience in a supervisory/management role, within derivatives product control capacity
*Or experience in a relevant role that is product and accounting-focused (e.g. risk management, price verification, derivatives audit)
*Detailed knowledge of underlying derivative products
*Ability to interpret financial information
*Ability to negotiate and strong people skills
*Ability to put knowledge of financial principle into PL and profit attribution analysis
*Qualified accountant (not essential) - if qualified, 1st time passes required
The successful product control analyst will have a blend of both leadership and decision making skills, complimented with excellent technical skills and a strong control mindset.
