Job Title: Product Control Analyst- Freight oil Products

Blue Chip Energy Company with a well established Commodities Trading Division
Main Job Funtion
- Report timely and accurate daily market exposure and profit and loss for a trading book;and ensuring consistency with accounting ledgers;
- Analyse and investigate results obtained from the underlying data;
- Spot and remedy any problems with relevant data,and with trading positions;
- Monitor traders’adherence to limits;
- Contribute to new business initiatives, systems or process improvement projects;
- Measure our commercial performance of group refining and marketing assets;
- Maintain a good knowledge of market conditions through the use of provided tools;
- Reconcile PL reports produced by the trading software to accounting data on a timely and accurate basis;
- Provide routine analyses of book performance to the traders.
Essential Education:
2:1 or higher (or equivalent) numerate degree from a Top University in Economics, Finance or quantitative discipline.
Key skills and competencies required
- Evidence of superior mathematical ability
- Essential a proved knowledge of the market, Oil Oil Products Derivatives;
- Working knowledge of trading and derivatives
- Relevant experience within a Product Control role covering Oil and Oil Products Derivatives;
- Robust interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work within a team to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of control processes applicable in a trading/regulated environment
- Familiarity with asset optimisation commercial performance measurement concepts
