Product Control Analyst (Product Control Global Operations)
Key Accountabilities:
1. Coordinate activities to deliver independent, timely and accurate representation pl and exposure reporting for global trading books.
- Ensure the timely validation of new deals, operational amendments, MTM, exposure and PL on a daily basis
- Manage the follow the sun activities across Singapore, London and Chicago, ensuring sufficient resources are deployed and leave cover is in place across regions
- Ensure the timely high level validation of the daily TCT generated PL
- Manage the timely delivery of validated PL by strategy reports to the Product Control Commodity Bench teams in Singapore, London and Chicago
- Monitor and ensure material PL impacts $5m due to incorrect curves or prices are adjusted with the appropriate approvals.
- Ensure the smooth running of the daily ancillaries cost management process
- Provide guidance and support to junior/ new PC analysts
- Support any ad hoc reporting requirements
2. Coordinate Activities to Aligning the Trading MI system of record with other Financial systems of record
- Support control activities to ensure timely and accurate MI-MA recs and stock reconciliations.
3. Manage interfaces with wider Product Control team and front office
- Work closely with Product Control Commodity Bench teams (regional and global) on any requirements to support the delivery of exposure and PL to front office
- Provide inputs on processes into the new business activity integration process, through the regional Product Control Commodity Bench team
- Liase with front office on issues impacting exposure and pl reporting (where applicable)
4. Own the technical training of new product control analysts through on the job training and contributing to the delivery of training programmes.
5. Supporting new activites or product control global initiatives
- Develop and implement new processes to support business growth or new business activity
- Drive regional and global process standardisation initiatives
6. Positioned to take on formal accountability in managing a team in response to organisation changes with new target operating model in place
Essential Education:
Accounting/Business degree or formally recognised Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or MBA
Essential Experience:
- Min. 10 years of working experience in a trading environment
- Leadership skills ideally acquired in a Product Control role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
