Product Control & Analytics – FM Sales recruitment
Job Description
1) The individual will be responsible for the design, build and maintenance of a robust control environment to govern the accurate reporting of Financial Markets (FM) Client Income.
2) Partner closely with the Business to drive FM performance management through targeted, standard set of analytics.
3) Strong engagement with senior business management team, Finance community Chennai teams.
4) Major cycles will include month end close, half and full year reporting, forecast and budget as well as key sales initiatives.
5) Driving efficiencies to the current MIS and being part of the ongoing Financial transformation
6) Providing informative commentary on sales performance, market peer comparisons, specific sales initiatives and sales trends for the FM Sales business.
Key Roles Responsibilities
1) To be the provider of MIS information and support for FM Sales business; to provide support for ongoing monitoring of the success of sales marketing initiatives
2) To develop the quality of reporting in terms of inclusion of analysis, linking financial performance with non-financial measures (e.g. client numbers trade volumes) and with the business strategy
3) To drive efficiencies in the current MIS processes providing scalable solutions that deliver MIS on a timelier basis.
4) To work with the team in Chennai, SCB's data services unit, and reduce the turnaround time on ad hoc reporting queries.
5) Ensure robust control environment through control and checks against various systems
6) Engagement in the Rubicon/ Finance Transformation work streams
Qualifications Skills
1) At least a few years banking experience gained in a business role (sales, trading etc), senior business facing role or senior finance roles.
2) Ability to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high quality output.
3) Understanding of Financial Markets products
4) Advanced level MS Excel and knowledge of SQL would be a distinct advantage
5) Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate challenge at all levels both written (report and guideline writing) and verbally.
6) Ability to think conceptually and arrive at a high level solution without detailed knowledge of the underlying systems, processes and databases.
7) Ability to work across teams and with all levels of management
8) Ability to work independently on resolving issues.
9) Self starter with a hunger and desire to succeed and challenge established processes and procedures
10) Evidence of having been instrumental in a major change process would be a distinct benefit
