Product Control AVP / VP (Commodities) recruitment

Our client is a prestigious and well-known Tier 1 global investment bank, with a strong presence in the world’s major financial centers. Due to business expansion, they are looking for 2 commodities product controllers at the AVP and VP level.You will be supporting the commodities trading businesses across the Region

Responsibilities include:

Daily analysis and production of PL, ensuring integrity of data reported in a controlled environment. 

 Business support in terms of advising on structured transactions, assisting new product launches, providing quality MIS, and accommodating any ad hoc requests.

Supporting the GM and Country CFOs in the development and maintenance of a robust control environment around the Commodities product set.

Contact point for auditors, both internal and external, and local regulators.

Providing MIS around PL analytics, risk based PL explanation, and Performance Commentary. Detailed planning and budgetary support will be required.

Development of consistent booking models across the Bank’s transaction processing systems.

End-to-End review and documentation of the Bank’s Commodities processes, and to ensure the finance support model for Commodities is optimized across the countries

You will also be expected to participate actively in the identification and implementation of key initiatives that relate to system/ workflow enhancements, accounting changes and centralization of processes within Product Control.

Good working knowledge of derivative products from a product control perspective is highly desirable.

You should be accounting-qualified with at least 4 years of experience in Product Control. Commodities (derivatives) experience is preferred but candidates with strong exotic or structured product experience in another asset class in market risk, valuations, product control or trade support will also be strongly considered. You should also be an ambitious and driven individual, who is highly adept at managing priorities in a fast-paced environment and be able to work well in a global and cosmopolitan team, with strong ambitions of developing an international career.
